App “Scenari ItalIAni”

A new step forward in educational innovation comes from the Università per Stranieri di Perugia, which presents “Scenari itAlIAni,” the Artificial Intelligence–based app for learning Italian. The App has been developed under the IMPACT project in collaboration with Cobaltica and presented on Wednesday 4 March 2026.

Designed as a dynamic generator of interactive communicative scenarios, the app allows learners to personalize their pathway according to CEFR levels, topics of interest, and preferred learning modes. Advanced AI-powered features include speech synthesis and recognition, instant personalized feedback on written and oral production, and a gamified dashboard with experience points and badges to track progress. With this launch, the University further strengthens its role as a center of excellence in promoting the Italian language and culture worldwide.

“Scenari ItalIAni” is a web application designed to help learners independently create communication scenarios that contextualize their practice of Italian. Users can build a personalized learning path by selecting their language level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), choosing among different thematic areas—ranging from culture and cuisine to art and sports—or by entering specific topics through a custom mode. They can also define the type of activity they wish to practice, such as listening, reading, writing, or speaking. Artificial Intelligence analyzes learners’ written productions and responses, providing personalized guidance on grammar, vocabulary, and textual coherence. In this way, the system offers adaptive, formative support with immediate feedback, helping learners progressively refine their communicative competence.

February 2026

Within the TNE Impact program and its goal of providing high-quality, innovative educational content and modules, the University of Cassino has produced a series of five videos that aim to raise awareness among students, teachers, and administrative staff at Mediterranean universities of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda. The videos address key challenges facing the Mediterranean region, including water scarcity, the energy transition, gender equality, and the role of education.

Each video combines scientific data, economic analysis, and concrete examples of public policies to illustrate how the Mediterranean is a strategic climate and social hotspot for the world. A key theme across all five videos is the role universities can play not only as producers of knowledge but also as laboratories of sustainability and as institutions capable of influencing public debate, reducing inequalities, and training future leaders.
